You’ve probably seen the recent announcement that WebMerge has become a part of Formstack’s workplace productivity platform under the new name Formstack Documents.

Now, you can use our suite of tools to collect data, automate document generation, and collect signatures. Today, I’d like to go through four of my favorite use cases for Formstack Forms and Formstack Documents.

Let’s break down these use cases by industry:

  1. Real Estate
  2. Higher Education
  3. Legal
  4. Salesforce

Real Estate

Rental Applications

Any leasing agent or property manager knows that settling tenants into their new homes comes with a lot of paperwork. From lease contracts to inspections, there is a lot of information your property management team needs to gather. That’s not even counting the paper copies of drivers licenses, banking statements, utility confirmations, or proof of insurance.

With Formstack, you can easily streamline how you collect rental applications and agreements. Simply send prospective renters a link to your rental application form or embed it on your site. Formstack will then pass that information to Documents and automatically populate your rental application document. You can then gather electronic signatures and save the completed document to your cloud storage tool of choice.

Education

Event Ticket Generation

If you’re planning to host an event as a way to bring prospective students to your campus, build support amongst alumni, or engage current students, you can create an excellent experience from start to finish by sending out branded tickets.

Forms and Documents can work together as an event ticket order form and ticket generator. It’s easy to embed your ticket order form on your website, share on social media, or send a link through email. You can even collect payments if necessary. Once attendees sign up, they’ll be automatically sent an email with their branded event ticket.

Legal

NDA Signature Collection

With Formstack Forms, Documents, and Sign, signing legal documents of any kind is quick and easy. For this use case, let’s focus on nondisclosure agreements. Aside from a few tweaks, your legal team is probably sending out the same nondisclosure agreement again and again with few changes. This means your team is tasked with the manual job of repeatedly entering company names, dates, and organizational titles into your document. We have a better way.

Simply have your signing clients complete an NDA online form with some basic information, like their name, corporate tax ID, date of signing, etc. Once they submit the Formstack form, their data will be sent to Documents where the NDA document template will be automatically populated. It will then be sent to Sign, where clients can review the completed document and sign as needed. With a few clicks, you can eliminate time wasted hunting down data and collecting NDA digital signatures.
